A fun way to teach kids how to manage money for life in a way that pleases God.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
— John 3:16 (NIV)
We are glad you chose to visit this page so you can read about the faith journey God wants every person to know about. In one way, financial and faith journeys are similar because they both address debt. The big difference however, is in who can pay these debts off. If we incur debt in our financial journey it is possible for us to pay that debt in full ourselves. In the faith journey, there is a debt we owe that is not within our power to pay in full ourselves. The good news is that Jesus paid it for us. The story of God’s love is below:
The Bible says we have all sinned:
Romans 3:23 - “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
Romans 6:23 - “For the wages (cost) of sin is death (debt we owe), but the gift (free) of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
But because God loves us so much, He declared our debt “paid in full” for us by sending Jesus Christ to die in our place on the cross nearly two thousand years ago.
I Peter 2:24 – “He himself (Jesus Christ) bore our sins in his body on the tree (cross), so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.” (set free from our debt).
The Bible says that our faith in Christ alone by the grace of God saves us. It is not what we do in life but what He did for us. We can’t do anything to pay the debt of our sins.
Ephesians 2:8-9
8 - “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this (faith) not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, 9 - not by works, so that no one can boast.”
When we admit our sins to God, tell Him we are sorry for them and receive Christ and what He did for us, making Him our personal Savior, God will credit our account with right standing before Him. It will be as if we had never sinned and He will give us eternal life as children of God.
Romans 4:23-25
23 - “The words ‘it was credited to him’ (Abraham) were written not for him alone, 24 – but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness – for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. 25 – He (Jesus) was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.”
If this faith journey is one that you have never traveled before, we pray you will begin this journey today. This prayer will help you receive Christ as a child would.
John 1:12 - “Yet to all who received him (Jesus), to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.”
John 3:16 - “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
Dear Heavenly Father, I admit that I have sinned against you and I am sorry. I accept Jesus’ death on the cross as payment for my sins and I receive Him as my personal Savior. Thank you for forgiving me and for letting me become your child. Thank you for my new faith journey which begins now and will last forever with you in Heaven. In Jesus name, Amen
